Hey everyone,

As a nurse and youth coach, I spend a significant amount of time observing the lives of young people today. From the latest TikTok trends to the deepest struggles shared in quiet conversations, one thing is crystal clear: our youth are desperately searching for where they belong, for who they truly are.

Compassion: The Quiet Revolution That Can Change the World

4 January 2026

They’re scrolling through endless feeds, trying on different “main character” personas, and sometimes, sadly, latching onto labels that only scratch the surface of their pain. In 2025, with AI companions and hyper-curated online lives, the search for identity is more confusing than ever. But what if I told you that true healing, lasting peace, and undeniable purpose come not from “finding” yourself in the world, but from being found in something far greater?

Just the other morning, I met a remarkable young woman at the gym, likely in her late teens or early twenties. Her unwavering drive struck me; while her peers were likely nestled in their beds or lost in their phones, she was there, fully present and determined. I asked her what motivated her to be so dedicated at such a young age, and she shared that she had set personal goals for herself, wanting to push her limits, live her faith, and become the best version of herself and a role model for her young siblings. Her passion was contagious, and it sparked a conversation about the importance of discipline and the joy of pursuing one’s dreams while anchored in Christ. This girl’s story prompted me to create this blog post.

The Identity Crisis: Why “Finding Yourself” is So Exhausting

Think about it: the world tells us to “find our passion,” “find our tribe,” “find our truth.” While these sound good, they place the burden entirely on us. It’s an exhausting, never-ending quest.

We perform, we chase, we compare, and when we inevitably fall short, we feel like failures.

This performance-based identity leads to deep wounds:

  • “I am a failure” after a bad grade or a lost game.
  • “I am invisible” when a post gets no likes or a friend group moves on.
  • “I am my anxiety” or “I am my diagnosis,” allowing a temporary state to define their entire being.

As a nurse, I see how this emotional and spiritual weight manifests physically – sleepless nights, chronic stress, even physical symptoms. The constant search leaves us vulnerable and wounded.

The Mindshift: From Chasing Labels to Embracing Christ’s Truth

This is where the radical, life-changing truth of Christ steps in. Instead of searching, we are invited to simply be found. Our identity isn’t something we earn; it’s a gift we receive after opening up to Him.

In Christ, you are not defined by your past mistakes, your current struggles, or the fleeting trends of the digital world. You are defined by an eternal, unwavering love.

This is the “mindshift” that truly begins the healing process:

  • You are not a failure; you are a Masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). Created with intention, skill, and purpose by the ultimate Artist.
  • You are not invisible; you are Chosen and Wanted (1 Peter 2:9). You belong to a divine family, picked out and called by name.
  • You are not your diagnosis; you are a New Creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your spirit is being renewed, and your potential is limitless in Him.
  • You are not “not enough”; you are Complete in Him (Colossians 2:10). Every lacking piece is filled by His fullness.

This isn’t just wishful thinking; it’s the bedrock truth upon which true, holistic healing is built.

Holistic Healing: Beyond Simple Fixes

As a nurse, I understand the body. As a coach, I understand the mind. As a Christian mentor, I understand the spirit. For real healing to occur, all three must be addressed.

  1. Spiritual Healing: This starts by accepting the incredible truth of who God says you are. It’s moving from the shame that says “I am the problem” to the conviction that says “I have a problem, but I am forgiven and loved.” This shift cleanses the deepest wounds. Read the verses aloud until your mind understands.
  2. Mental & Emotional Healing: Once our core identity is anchored, we can begin to “unlearn” the lies the world has fed us.( Ephesians 5 : 8-20) We replace negative thought patterns with the truth of Scripture, building new, healthier neural pathways. This is where coaching helps you apply God’s truth to your everyday thoughts and emotions.
  3. Physical Healing: Understanding our body is a “Temple” (1 Cor 6:19) transforms how we care for ourselves. Reducing digital overload, prioritizing sleep, and nourishing our bodies become acts of worship and stewardship, not just chores. When we honor our physical health, it supports our spiritual and mental well-being. This reflects the practice of faith, as the girl pointed out.

You Are FINALLY FOUND

My heart for you, especially the young people navigating this complex world, is that you stop the exhausting search and embrace the profound truth: You are already found.

This website, FINALLYAMFOUND.COM, exists to walk with you through this mindshift. To help you trade the world’s temporary labels for Christ’s eternal identity. To move from surface-level scrolling to soul-deep healing.

It’s not about being perfect, but about being perfectly loved and fruitful. It’s about discovering that in Him, you are whole, you are worthy, and you are finally, truly found.

Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for your immeasurable grace. I align myself with your promises and your word, and I acknowledge all that you have already done for me. Please guide me and show me your ways, and help me not to be distracted by the noise around me. May I enjoy my life in you, thrive into old age, and be saved for eternal life.

In the name and authority of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
